CHSAT Bids Farewell to Foreign Exchange Students
It's been quite the year for two foreign exchange students, Rina from Japan, and Sofiya from Ukraine. Sophomore Rina spent the entire year at CSAT, while junior Sofiya came in at halfway. Both will be greatly missed! Their teachers, classmates and host family surprised the girls with a celebration and goodbye gathering recently.
Ms. Stoelting, a HS counselor, put together the celebration in their honor to thank them for positively impacting the CSAT community, and to bid a proper farewell before they head home in the coming week. They each received a Certificate of Attendance, and some CSAT-themed gifts, along with some sweet treats.
Ms. Stoelting began the celebration by speaking about the importance of welcoming foreign exchange students to the school, and the personal impact studying abroad can have. Additionally, Superintendent Martinez spoke highly of traveling the world, and the enriching experiences that it leads to.
Thank you Rina and Sofiya. You'll be missed!
