Celebration of Reading a Huge Success

That’s a wrap on another successful Celebration of Reading!

This is the 12th year that the Charter School for Applied Technologies has hosted the event, designed to show students that successful people believe in the 'power of reading' and to motivate them to continue to read and stay in school. It is also a great way for students to learn about careers in WNY and help us as we fulfill our mission of preparing students to attain family sustaining careers by integrating career exploration and a lifelong learning culture.

Throughout the three-day event, elementary classrooms were paired with Celebrity Readers who read a book and spoke to the students about the importance of reading and literacy. They also answered hundreds of questions about their careers!!
