Food Services Department Honored
The Charter School for Applied Technologies Food Service Department is thrilled to have been recognized with an award for enabling persons with disabilities to become members of the local community workforce. Cafeteria Manager Jeff Zuercher had the honor of accepting the award on behalf of CSAT for going above and beyond to accommodate the needs of Diamond, who serves as a cafeteria monitor in our Elementary School. The award was presented at the 2017 NDEAM (National Disabilities Employment Awareness Month) Business Luncheon and Award Ceremony.
CSAT was nominated for the award by Monica Barber who is employed by Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled and serves as Diamond’s job coach. The event was sponsored by the Western New York Employment Consortium, the NYS Office of Adult Career & Continuing Educational Services – Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES-VR) and the NYS Commission for the Blind (NYSCB).
