The Charter School for Applied Technologies is pleased to announce the appointment of Brett Lutterbein as High School assistant principal effective with the 2018-2019 school year. Brett replaces former HS Assistant Principal Tralina Middlebrooks who was named Elementary School assistant principal in April.
Mr. Lutterbein comes to CHSAT from Energy Tech High School 9-14, an early college and career high school in Astoria, NY, where he served as an instructional coach and social studies department leader with a focus on development of rigorous student-centered curriculum. He began his teaching career at Opportunity Charter School in Harlem and began his professional career in the human service industry working as an adolescent program director designing and facilitating recreational and educational programming for more than 1000 children. Mr. Lutterbein holds a bachelor's degree in history from St. Bonaventure University, a master's degree in special education from St. John Fisher College, and an advanced graduate certificate in educational leadership from SUNY Stony Brook.
