ENGLISH AS A NEW LANGUAGEThe English as a New Language (ENL) department is designed around students who have been identified as English Language Learners (ELL). All students who participate come form homes where another language, other than English, is spoken. We work with students in kindergarten through twelfth grade who have been identified as English Language Learners (ELL). All of our students come from homes where a language other than English is spoken. Our students speak a variety of languages including Russian, Chinese, Armenian, Kurdish and Spanish. Our job is to support these students in the reading, writing, listening, and speaking of English. CSAT's ENL team work in the regular classroom and in small group settings to improve and enhance the writing, reading, listening and English-speaking skills of the students involved. Either way services are delivered, the curriculum of the classroom or grade will be covered, as well as, the needs of the student.
We look forward to working with you and your child this year. If at any point you have a question or a concern, please feel free to contact us by email or phone.
