MS Students Share Personal Experiences at Public Libraries
CSAT Middle School students recently had the opportunity to express the importance of public libraries through letters which were shared with local political leaders. Middle School Language Arts & Social Studies Teacher Leah Courtwright represented CSAT students at a meeting to discuss library funding and its importance in our community and schools. She shared some of the student letters containing personal stories of using the library as a family, using the internet and technology, and how libraries provide a SAFE place they can visit. The letters and stories were well received by attendees, including Senator Tim Kennedy and Assembly Member Krystal Peoples Stokes.
