• CSAT is excited to announce that the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program trial last school year was a huge success. This upcoming school year we are allowing all students to fully participate in the BYOD program.

CSAT issued devices are still available for students who don’t wish to participate in the BYOD program, Please see below for more information and the new procedure if a school issued device is needed.

    WHY BYOD?

The BYOD program allows students to benefit by using devices they are already familiar with in and out of the classroom, enhances their learning experience and makes it easier to complete assignments and access educational resources.

WHAT IF I DO NOT WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE BYOD PROGRAM AND WANT A CSAT ISSUED DEVICE?

In order to receive a school issued device, you must purchase device insurance for the 25-26 school year directly from SmartTech for $38.00See the SmartTech flyer for easy purchasing options. SmartTech will automatically notify CSAT once insurance has been purchased and a device will then be issued.

    • Smart Tech Insurance covers: loss, unintentional damage, theft (police report required) liquid damage, battery issues and hardware related issues.

    SUPPORT AND RESOURCES:

Our IT department will also provide assistance to students as it relates to our educational software and connections to our computer Wi-Fi network. However, The IT department will not assist with non-education related issues on a student’s personal device.

    • CSAT Device Insurance Claims:  For ease of any insurance claims on a student’s CSAT issued device, they can be made through the HS Tech Department. They will take the necessary steps to send out the device for repair and provide any loaner equipment until the device is returned.
    • BYOD General Responsibility:  CSAT is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged BYOD devices.  Students should always take precautions on the care and use of their approved BYOD devices at all times.

    NEXT STEPS:

    • Review the BYOD Device Requirements: Ensure your child’s device meets the specified criteria.
